Blog July 2007

Friday July 27th

We're back in Paris after a month and a half on the road.
The Adelaide Cabaret Festival
with Judy and Me was a thrill.
We might even be going back sooner than expected, to Sydney…

Paris feels like a stopover and we feel a bit like strangers here, even tourists. A little disconnected from reality but the Seine looks wonderful.

A few more days to go, we're counting down, packing suitcases, collecting the artwork, learning the last lines
and rehearsing the last songs.

Life pulls you through ev'ry day
Such is life, come what may
Never knowing what tomorrow may bring
I won't stop ‘till you believe what I sing

Thank you Mister Simon Porter for these lyrics
and all the rest.

Everything seems to be in place…

Sue McKichan is sending out the last invitations for the Press Night, on August 7th.

Be in touch if you'd like to join us,
we're having some champagne to celebrate the first show: s.mckichan@btinternet.com or 0780 268 5454.

Stéphane Logerot and Philippe Dallais are tuned
and ready to go. We're proud to be working with such brilliant musicians and musical director/arranger.

Anais Denaux is working on the website,
Mine Vergez
is sewing the last stitches of Isabelle's dress,
Michael Stromme is sending out e-mails,
and I am writing this first weblog to keep you posted.

Many thanks to our producers:
Jean-Claude Auclair, David Bréval
and Pierre-Marcel Blanchot.

We're ready to go.
La French Touch
is as hot as a fresh croissant,
as sweet as a crème brulée
and as strong as the finest cognac.

Edinburgh 2007 feels promising; we hope to see you there.

A bientôt,
Frédérik
