Isabelle Georges – what talent and commanding stage presence! She is the complete performer. She can take songs from varied musical traditions, such as musicals, jazz and from her native France, and sing them with real depth and style. Compositions, for example, by Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim and Jacques Brel reflect her range. Dressed in short dress and fishnet tights, she can dance with great expression. If this weren't enough, she is also a moving and humorous raconteur.

The songs she has chosen are highly personal reflecting childhood memories and love. Joining her on stage are three superb musicians, Frédérik Steenbrink on piano and vocals, Stéphane Logerot , on bass, guitar and accordion, and Phillipe Dallais on drums. Stéphane Logerot is the arranger and composer of one of the songs.

I must confess to becoming a fan of Isabelle Georges when she was also accompanied by Frédérik Steenbrink several years ago in her show ‘Judy and Me' – her tribute to Judy Garland. This show with the addition of Stéphane Logerot and Phillipe Dallais to me is a richer experience. This is enhanced by the fact that it is the marvelous Isabelle Georges in her own right we are enjoying.

… If it's a musical and theatrical show with a difference that tickles your fancy, it's time you met La French Touch - four multi-talented folks who've hopped the Channel, to bring here their delightful repertoire, from Gallic songs to American musicals, through tango and jazz. Great songs and dance!

La French Touch Paris Spectacle

Isabelle George explains that in the French language, there is a word for actor, one for singer and one for dancer, but there is no word for performer. This infuriated her as a child because that's what she aspired to be, and that is what she has become, and a damn good one too. Returning after their sell-out show, 'Judy & Me', Isabelle George and Frédérik Steenbrink are back with a wonderful new musical cabaret show. Together with her vivacious and versatile musicians - Frédérik, Stéphane and Philippe - Isabelle truly captivates the audience from the offset. Her love of 'la comédie musicale' is all the motivation that she required for this engaging and emotional performance.
C'est magnifique !

Isabelle Georges' cabaret show proves she is undoubtedly a French singer of terrific talent with great stage presence. With an urchin cut and gamine image reminiscent of Jean Seberg in À Bout de Souffle, she kicks off in fishnet tights and a short black velvet mini that reveals long dancing legs. Singing work by Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf interspersed with original material, she shows herself to be every inch a vedette.

It's a very personal show, linked by snippets from her own life, including numerous childhood operations that influenced her decision to become not only a singer but also a dancer and actress. And while in the second half she has a model of the Eiffel Tower as a headdress, her mode is as much Broadway as France, her startling voice and theatrical delivery acknowledging the likes of Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli and Barbra Streisand.

Georges' band are as versatile as she is, as happy with jazz as Brazilian styles, musicals and a capella four part harmonies. The whole is bonded together by the wide-eyed Georges' magnetic energy, which has everyone in the palm of her hand.

We went to the show on the recommendation of a friend and was totally bowled over by the magical touch of these 4 very talented musicians. Led by the vivacious, infectious Isabelle you're taken on a personal journey down memory lane. In between the bittersweet emotions behind each tale you are treated to an enchanting mix of musical styles. From bossa nova and jazz to swing. The show packages all the songs together very nicely.
You can't help responding to the 'joie de vivre'...
I was still humming away into the late hours....

Ca c'est superb! With the honey voice of Frederik and the fast changes between the angelic tones of Isabelle Georges' ballads to her sultry, raunchy reflections on life, this show is all about entertainment. Absolutely incredible performers, taking you on a magical rollercoaster where one minute you are dabbing at your eyes because of the hard-hitting lyrics moving your soul, to finger tapping and feet jiggling in another. The limelight shared between the four incredibly multi-talented musicians, there is something for everybody here. As she leads you through the programme, Isabelle's effervescence is an absolute delight to watch - bundles of character and enchantment here.
GO SEE IT FOR AN EVENING OF TALENT!!

The stage hardly seems large enough to contain livewire Isabelle Georges.
She brings more than a touch of musical theatre to her act… tenderness, compassion, humour, extremely funny and ably partnered by Frédérik Steenbrink, a very good singer and pianist who is as laid-back as Georges is hyperactive.
